On April 12, 2021, the 2nd 2021 NVP Neo Awards was held to mark the 16th anniversary of NEOVALUE. This NVP Neo Awards was held to praise and recognize NEO Value People Neo, an individual who has acted in a lifestyle developer position over the past year by applying key values defended by NEOVALUE to individual projects. As we pursue a culture of creating and growing together, time to praise and acknowledge each other is one of the essential times for us.

Although this is the first NVP Neo Awards, it is no exaggeration to say that it was created with the affectionate interest and participation of executives and employees as it achieved 88.9% support rate. Above all, it was all the more meaningful because everyone watched the work process of the nominated executives and employees together and voted directly to select NVP.

We actively considered and dealt with financial issues and risk situations to solve the problem. This is a typical ‘passion’ example of NEOVALUE, which has been persistently devised to produce better results than expected and linked to execution.

Q. What’s the most memorable ‘work’ you’ve been working at NEOVALUE for the past year?

In order to reduce risk as much as possible in the fund management plan and to increase the efficiency of financing, we have consulted several stakeholders over a long period of more than 20 days to establish the current fund management plan. As for the issues that have arisen since then, we have made efforts to optimize our fund management plan by submitting data to the competent authority for three days and answering questions.

Q. Why is this most memorable?

As I progressed my work, I reviewed the overall business-related contents once again, so I could organize the materials to be delivered to the other party more easily. Above all, I think I used my time efficiently for quick work results. Of course, there were difficulties and limitations in the process, but it was a case of good results due to challenges to new jobs, so I think it had a positive effect on the attitude and attitude toward future work.

Addressing the company’s unstable data storage and security issues to create an uncomfortable office environment, a typical “respect” example of NEOVALUE, which actively shared information and business assistance to colleagues regardless of team or headquarters.

Q. What’s the most memorable ‘work’ you’ve been working at NEOVALUE for the past year?

This is a change to the corporate shared folder system. From a user’s point of view, it’s not different from the traditional method, so you won’t feel much difference, but it was definitely helpful for both the company and its employees. The NEOVALUE shared folder system had three issues.

1. Data archiving – Previously, it was difficult to track and recover data even if someone deleted it arbitrarily.

2. Data Security – Although it was used as an ID for each headquarters/team, there was a security issue because it was a predictable ID structure.

3. Lack of capacity – There was a problem of lack of capacity due to the high-resolution graphic artwork.

Shared folders are the largest assets in the company, the storage for data, but all three of the most important things were unsettling. We now have data recovery methods, individual permissions settings, and ample capacity. I think it provided a secure data storage for the company and an environment that is not inconvenient to use outside of the office.

Q. Why is this most memorable?

I think one of the most important issues for many companies, not just us, is how to collect and archive data, and how to use it. The first step was to solve the problem of data archiving, and I learned the idea or method of data collection, and I set myself as an area where I needed to develop my expertise. We will continue to use the data to support working in an environment where everyone can work well.

Even as the job changes and the scope of work expands, we have established everything for study, discussion, and operation. It is a representative “entrance” case of Neo Value that sympathizes with the company’s direction of creating a future that has not existed before and positively accepts new business challenges.

Q. What’s the most memorable ‘work’ you’ve been working at NEOVALUE for the past year?

It was a series of new challenges and a big turning point every day, being ordered to prepare for the opening of Alleyway Incheon in July 2020. It can’t be expressed as a single piece of work, but the process itself is the most memorable and I’m looking forward to it! I was in charge of computerization in the distribution industry as an IT manager for 10 years, and after joining the company, I changed my job to computer and facility at Alleyway Gwanggyo. After Alleyway was appointed to Incheon, his job was changed once again to computer, facility, and operation.

It is a new challenge for individuals to add jobs and expand their scope as a person, but it was a cautious and nervous thing because it could cause inconvenience to the organization. We have been preparing to open the building with constant discussions and ideas, learning and learning a lot to make various laws and contracts for the operation of the building the best efficiency. Based on this, we have systems that are hard to see in universal commercial facilities and are taking a step forward against negative views on our goals. We are having fun thanks to the team leader who always gives us unexpected ideas and the team members who have been strengthened by many experiences.

Q. Why is this most memorable?

On March 12, clothing stores and fast food stores were pre-opened. It will still take a long time to open the entire store, but it was such a precious and important pre-opening for us to merge and open 17 stores during this difficult time due to COVID-19. All the team members worked really hard due to the schedule that was earlier than scheduled, and we prepared for the opening according to the schedule. On the first day of its opening on March 12, I was able to watch the moment when the lights went out of the store for a long time outside, and I was thrilled that it was just the beginning, and I could see the possibility of the bright future of Alleyway Incheon.

By communicating with more than 120 buyers and sales agencies, we built trust with accurate fact-based responses. This is a representative ‘responsibility’ example of Neo Value, which led the work in charge and acted responsibly in the process and results of everything.

Q. What’s the most memorable ‘work’ you’ve been working at NEOVALUE for the past year?

Everything I did was meaningful and memorable, but the most memorable thing was that I was in charge of the sale of the shopping mall. In terms of performance, it has achieved almost KRW 00 billion from the existing sales completion volume to KRW 00 billion. (Wow…) It was never easy to replace three agencies in the process, collaborate with each agency, and manage them, but it was a time to learn and feel a lot.

In the process of directly meeting about 30 to 40 contractors and signing a sales contract in person, I naturally felt proud of being “Alliway Incheon made by my company.” In addition, I remember communicating with the distributors and sales agencies every evening/weekends, and actively looking for areas I didn’t know and letting them know. I think I repaid the trust I received from the distributor in the process.

Q. Why is this most memorable?

There are two main categories regarding the sale of shopping malls. The first is the new sale of shopping malls, and the second is the management of existing buyers. The goal is to achieve high sales performance in a short period of time through cooperation with sales agencies regarding new sales.

Second, existing distributor management requires continuous guidance on other matters such as responding to inquiries from about 100 contractors and tax services/lease status provided to each contractor. To do both, you must have both expertise in products and in local/commercial markets. You need to be clear about all aspects of tax/market conditions and then convince and reassuring your customers. The most memorable thing is that I think I realized it actively through the work with all these processes in mind.

Through conversations with team members, I dressed up my work as a field where I could show the strengths of team members, and as a result, I improved my personal expertise. This is a representative ‘leadership’ case of Neo Value, which motivates through recognition and delegation of authority and considers ways to grow its members with the parties

Q. What’s the most memorable ‘work’ you’ve been working at NEOVALUE for the past year?

I became associated with NeoValue at the end of September 20. With the transition of work not completed yet, it seems that they have been busy establishing and proceeding with OKR, which will start anew in 21 years, and implementing the Neo Value 2.0 recruitment system. The most memorable thing among them is the division of duties of the people team in the management headquarters. At the time I joined the company, the People’s Team was not a shining position in the company, but it was seen as lacking pride in what they do, even though they were employees who silently do their work in an invisible place. After checking the details of the work investigated by each individual, I found out the reason and decided that it was necessary to dress up and reorganize the work. In order to give them a chance to fully express the strengths of their team members, they divided teams into People 1 and People 2 teams, and dressed up their work based on areas where they could focus and cultivate expertise. As a result, decision-making was accelerated and each member was also seen trying to further develop their work capabilities.

Q. Why is this most memorable?

It was not an easy decision to change the structure of the organization shortly after the new director came in. Without the help of the people team members, I might have regretted the decision. However, I don’t think I regret my choice because the members of both People 1 and 2 teams did so well and trusted and followed me. I’m trying to listen to each person’s thoughts and dreams about their future, and I want to be a person who can help them in the direction they want to go.
