Kim Hee-Woong, Head of Gwanggyo operations team.

Hello, I’m Kim Hee-woong, the head of the operation team at Alliway Gwanggyo. I’m always shy about introducing myself. I like Digilog and the MBTI that is popular these days is ESFJ type. He has the motto of “Let’s always enjoy it,” and his personality is round like his appearance.(laughs) I’ve been in the IT industry for a long time, and I’m currently in charge of the Allieway Gwanggyo management team. We strive every day to provide offline sensitivity, charm, and diverse experiences in the expanding online market.

Meeting NEOVALUE

Q. What kind of career have you built at NEOVALUE?

I joined the company in August 2019 and was in charge of facility management and computerized part at Alleyway Gwanggyo. In June of the following year, he was appointed to the Incheon operation team in time for the completion of Alleyway Incheon, and decided on the type of operation according to the facility and conducted a defect inspection. After the completion of Alleyway Incheon, I was in charge of preparing in advance for the opening of Alleyway Incheon and entering the store. Since this year, we have returned to the Alleyway Gwanggyo operation team and are trying to create a better cultural alley “Alleyway” in our neighborhood.

Q. What made you join NEOVALUE?

I joined the company after applying through the introduction of a person I worked with at my previous job. Since I lived in Suwon all my life, I watched the process of developing a new city in the area where I was familiar with the “Woncheon Amusement Park” before “Alleyway Gwanggyo.” Among them, I felt that ‘Alleyway Gwanggyo’ was different from other commercial facilities. It is not a market form of the real estate development industry, and I wanted to see the speciality of NEOVALUE, which is different from the form of a distributor, and I wanted to join.

Working as a lifestyle developer

Q. Please introduce what the team does.

We are creating a better lifestyle village by cultivating the cultural alley “Alleyway” in our neighborhood.

Gwanggyo operation team is ‘sales support’ in one word. The primary work supports tenant tenants’ post-contract sales activities and includes a variety of activities to boost sales. Facility management and rental work are also important tasks.

What is Heewoong’s job?

We’re managing all the issues and activities that are happening at Alleyway Gwanggyo. Since it is a distribution facility in a large store, so many things happen every day. The main tasks are tenant management, sales inspection and sales reporting, consignee management, facility maintenance/improvement, safety management, rental work, and various contract management.

Q. What are the pros and cons of working as a lifestyle developer?

The biggest advantage is that you can always learn while working. Due to the nature of the business, we need to understand all the general matters related to the operation. I like that I can constantly study from various revised laws to unexpected issues. The downside is that many customers visit us on weekends, so we work when others are resting. (laughs)

Q. What major/competencies do you need for work?

The most necessary competency is passion and will for work. Then, in the rapidly changing distribution market, brand understanding, sense, and smooth communication skills. In the field, the tenant’s ability to empathize with their problems and to quickly execute them is important. I wish I had a spoonful of experience in a similar industry (laughs)

Q. How can I have that capability?

I think it’s important to be constantly interested and experience various things. It would be helpful if I could judge stores or brands that I’ve never encountered before, such as “good, not good.” It’s not a dichotomous accident, but “This part is good, and that part would be better if I run it,” and enjoy new experiences.

Q. What kind of colleague do you want to work with?

I want to work with a sincere and positive colleague. I believe that the sincere opinions of the team members who go on the same boat looking at the same goal make it possible to go in a better direction at every moment of choice. While sailing, there are times when it rains or meets waves, but if I have a positive colleague next to me, I think I can get through it together no matter what happens.

My lifestyle

Q. Please introduce your daily routine at NEOVALUE.

These days, when I go to work, I check the trends of COVID-19 and the weather during the week. After checking the weather, I have a tea time with my team members for 5 to 10 minutes, and I start work by sharing the previous day’s issues and today’s work. The main roles are divided within the team, but I think it’s really important to share and think about the progress and issues of each job. Even if we can’t decide everything for a short time, we have to share opinions and set directions together to spend a day more efficiently, and we need to know each other’s situation so that we can be considerate while working.

After organizing the tasks to be done, the Allieway Gwanggyo facility is inspected before opening in the morning, and payment details are checked and urgent mail is processed. In the afternoon, we usually hold entry consultations, tenant sales meetings, and partner meetings, and in the afternoon, we usually conduct reports or important and focused contents. Whenever I have time, I look around the store, check the toilets and public servants, and do safety checks.

Q. What kind of lifestyle do you have?

I was learning carpentry at the workshop, and now I’m taking a break, and it’s really fun. I found a hobby that I could enjoy simply because I had to think about and focus on, but the process of cutting, aggregating, sanding, and oiling wood in the workshop was simple and fun because it was not boring. Different patterns are fun for each core, and the smell of wood is especially good. The first end grain cutting board was engraved with the name Lifestyle Developer. I used to be a bit of a workaholic, but these days, I think this hobby and health are important.

The Future of the City We Draw

Q. What do you think a sustainable city is like?

Isn’t it a rich city, a good city to live in, and a city you want to live in? Supply and supply are made at reasonable prices in a city with safe and convenient transportation and infrastructure, a vibrant distribution market, sufficient green space and parks for relaxation. It’s like a dream, but what everyone wants. It’s like a city that’s being created by NEOVALUE.

To me, a lifestyle developer is a pioneer!

Among various tasks such as property development, distribution, and content development, there is a uniqueness in how NEOVALUE does it. This is the specialty.
